HOW TO STOP QUITTING

Hello!

Thanks for stopping by <3

There is absolutely nothing wrong with quitting. Sometimes it can be the best answer. However, I don’t know about you, but I quit a lot of things because I either didn’t have enough time to complete the project, or because I lost my motivation.

Here are some tips that have helped me to stop quitting and start pivoting towards my goals:

1. START COMMITTING TO YOURSELF //

How often do you commit to others but cancel on yourself?

The easiest way to start reaching your goals is to start saying yes to yourself and committing to yourself.

2. SLOW DOWN  YOUR YES //

If you’re committed to yourself, you will stop saying yes to absolutely everything because you will know to honour the amount of time you have in a day and how much time you have to give to others without running yourself into the ground!

3. FOCUS ON YOUR PASSIONS //

You might notice that the first thing you quit are the things that you aren’t passionate about. They might be things you agreed to for someone else, or because you felt obligated to it.

By honouring what you are passionate about, you are more likely to follow-through on your commitments.

4. FIND AN ACCOUNTABILITY PARTNER //

Talk to a friend or loved one about your goals. Tell them why your goals are important to you and at what point you tend to fall off the wagon! Tell them what will help you to stay motivated.

Be your number one accountability partner and have a loved one be a back-up!

5. ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR PATTERNS //

Our patterns show up everywhere in our lives. By acknowledging your patterns and setting up a plan to work through them, you will be more likely to reach your goals.

For example, if you start a new exercise routine each week on the basis you will work out everyday, only to fall off the wagon by Saturday, it might be better to have a goal of working out 2-3 x/week rather than saying you will work out everyday.

You’re more likely to quit if you have an all or nothing attitude.
