As yoga teachers, we give a lot of ourselves emotionally and mentally. We also become sounding boards for our students. How do we avoid yoga teacher burnout and how do we deal with burnout when it happens?
Yoga teacher burnout looks just like any other form of burn out, loss of passion, lack of interest and loss of happiness within our job.
If you are experiencing burnout:
1. Talk to someone
2. Try teaching a new sequence/pose or use new music
3. Take on a new project
4. Take a training
Remember, you are not alone
Let’s prevent burnout before it even happens!
1. Don’t overextend yourself
2. Take time to do the things you love
3. Have a great self-care routine
